About Isolina Ricci, Ph.D
Isolina Ricci, Ph.D, is the author of the enduring classic for parents Mom’s House, Dad’s House, the book for kids and parents, Mom’s House, Dad’s House for KIDS, and The CoParenting Toolkit, the award winning finalist in both the USA Best Book Awards and now the International Book Awards. Her work has inspired and supported two generations of parents. Many of her pioneering concepts such as “Parenting Plans,” the “business-like” approach for managing conflict and communications, better words to replace legal terms like “custody” and “visitation,” have all become accepted standards. Her work has been cited in courtrooms, classrooms, and legal publications.
In addition to her work with families, she headed the Statewide Office of Family Court Services for the California courts for 15 years and conducted research on divorce and child adjustment at Stanford University where she also received her doctorate. She has been a Rockefeller Bellagio Scholar, the recipient of the Distinguished Mediator Award from the Academy of Family Mediators and Distinguished Service Awards for her outstanding contributions and achievements from both the International and California Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Along with her work with parents and families, Dr. Isolina Ricci has been a consultant to family courts, a keynote speaker, and workshop leader at numerous professional conferences both at the international and state level.
